| Physical Abuse - Extreme physical aggression is used by some Abusers/Predators to control the actions of their victim. In one instance a mother would physically beat her daughter for sneaking out at night to be with her friends. When that method did not prove to be effective enough the mother began to handcuff her teenage daughter to her bed to keep her home at night. This went on for several years before her daughter spoke out concerning her physical abuse. To this day this now older woman lives in fear of any boundaries or restrictions in her physical life. It is a 'bully' that uses physical force to extort their demands upon other people. While all the bullies are themselves cowards, the pain they inflict physically is very real and causes more than physical pain to their victim. Physical pain through bruises, a black eye or even broken bones do more than just physical damage to the body of the victim. Such physical aggression teaches the victim that violence is the way to handle the difficult situations they face in life.
