The difficulty of loneliness affects all people at different times in their lives. For the majority of us, loneliness, can come and go depending on the circumstances we happen to be going through at any given time, so it is not necessarily a "one time event or period of our lives." The song goes
on and on about how that he feels his life is just so bad because he is now lonely, without his baby.
